One solution to your bathroom reading is a sustainable wood bath bar. It's a wood piece that lays across the bath tub, allowing you to easily rest candles, soaps, and a reading book. You could also use it as a seat to sit above steaming water or rest between soaks. Try it on the floor as a rinse off area in a home spa or pool.
A wood bath bar is considered sustainable by the type of wood and finish used. Our wood was responsibly farmed for the furniture industry and contains a natural oil finish that's non-toxic. With natural oil finishes you can reapply the finish or let the oil evaporate over time and the wood will turn to shades of grey. This teak bath bar has been treated with a natural oil finish so you don't have to worry about water damage.
This teak bath bar is handmade from farmed teak wood and, if maintained properly, will last for years. Hand-carved by local Chiang Mai, Thailand artisans to support their local farms and communities.
NOTE: No two natural wood products are the same! Our wood products may have different variations in tone, small cracks that are sanded and finished, knots or other slight imperfections. This is a result of them being hand-picked and hand-carved pieces so every single one is unique.
Dimensions and Weight: 31" Long x 7" Wide x 1.5" Thick. Supports are 3" from each side. Weight is 6 lbs.
Product Care: Teak wood is naturally resilient and needs little to no maintenance. Teak oil can be reapplied to maintain the color of the product. However, to alter the appearance of your teak wood, you can allow the teak oil to evaporate over time, turning the wood different shades of gray.
Looks nice- hopefully will remain that way with normal care. Be sure to take in consideration that both sides of the tub has a ledge for the shelf to be placed on.
